Nucor Steel's ex-factory rolled sheet prices increased by $50/short tonne (st) to a minimum of $1,530/st. Until this price increase, the company's ex-factory plate price was $430/st, down by 23%, while the last price increase was $1,910/st in March 2022, increased by $55/st for roll sheet. Nucor Steel also opened its order book for May.
SSAB Americas' normalized, quenched and tempered plate products increased by $80/st. This price increase was the company's third price increase. SSAB's prices increased by $200 per ton on January 18. The company has not yet opened its spot order book for June.
