Nucor maintains 16th place in global steel producers ranking

The World Steel Association (worldsteel) has released its latest ranking of the world’s largest steel-producing companies based on crude steel production data for 2025. The list presents annual crude steel output figures and corresponding global rankings for major steel producers worldwide.

Nucor maintains 16th place in global steel producers ranking

According to the published data, U.S.-based steelmaker Nucor maintained its position as the world’s 16th largest steel producer in 2025. The company continued to strengthen its presence in the global steel industry while remaining one of the leading producers in the Americas.

Based on worldsteel’s figures, Nucor’s crude steel production reached approximately 23 million metric tons in 2025. Supported by its electric arc furnace (EAF)-based production model, the company maintained its status as one of the largest steel producers in the United States.

Nucor continues to play a significant role in the North American steel market through its extensive portfolio of flat steel, long steel, and construction-related products. The company has also supported its production capacity through ongoing investments and expansion projects in recent years.

The 2025 worldsteel ranking highlights the ongoing competition among global steelmakers, while Nucor’s ability to retain its position among the world’s top 20 steel producers underscores the company’s strong standing in the international steel market.
