According to the company’s disclosure to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), General Manager Dursunali Yaşacan has stepped down from his position.
The statement published on KAP noted that Yaşacan resigned from his role as General Manager as of today, and that following this departure, the Board of Directors carried out a swift evaluation process. The disclosure stated that Niyazi Aşkın Peker was appointed as the permanent General Manager to fill the vacant position.
In the company’s announcement, the following expression was included:
“Accordingly, our Board of Directors has resolved to appoint Mr. Niyazi Aşkın Peker as the permanent General Manager to the vacated position.”
It was also noted that the appointment took effect immediately, with the new General Manager assuming his duties without delay.
This management change at KARDEMİR, one of Turkey’s integrated iron and steel producers, is considered significant in terms of the company’s ongoing investments, production plans, and strategic objectives. The company, which has recently stood out with its focus on capacity utilization, a shift toward value-added products, and sustainability-oriented projects, is expected to continue its efforts in these areas under the new General Manager’s leadership.
