S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller has released the national home price index data for July.
Accordingly, the national housing price index in the USA increased by 19.7 percent in July compared to the same period of the previous year. The index, which showed a record increase for 4 months, increased by 18.7 percent in June.
The index for housing prices in 20 cities in the USA increased by 19.9 percent on an annual basis in July. The data, which was slightly below market expectations, was expected to increase by 20 percent in this period. The index had increased 19.1 percent in June.
Among the 20 cities in the index, the cities with the highest increase in housing prices were Phoenix with 32.4 percent, San Diego with 27.8 percent and Seattle with 25.5 percent.
Analysts stated that the increase in housing prices continued due to low supply.
