Murat Yalçıntaş, General Manager of OYAK, held a meeting with François Provost, CEO of Renault Group

Murat Yalçıntaş, General Manager of OYAK, visited the Renault Group headquarters in France and met with François Provost, CEO of Renault Group. During the meeting, the current status of operations in Turkey and future strategies were thoroughly discussed.

Yalçıntaş stated that they will start production of new models at their factories in Bursa in 2026. He stated that, “Renault Mais and Oyak Renault are the leaders in Türkiye for both sales and production volumes in 2025. Within the framework of its confidence in the partnership, Renault Group will continue its investments in Türkiye in the coming years.”

OYAK General Manager Murat Yalçıntaş visited the Renault Group headquarters in France together with Renault Group Türkiye’s CEO Lionel Jaillet, MAIS A.Ş. Chairman of the Board Bahaettin Tatoğlu, and MAIS A.Ş. Deputy General Manager of Commercial Operations Levent Timur. Yalçıntaş met with François Provost during an introductory meeting, and afterwards, he toured the Renault Design Center, where he reviewed the new models that will be produced at Oyak Renault’s Bursa factory in 2026.

The strongest collaboration model in Turkey's automotive industry

OYAK General Manager Murat Yalçıntaş emphasized that the strategic partnership between OYAK and Renault Group, which has lasted for more than half a century, is the strongest collaboration model in Türkiye's automotive industry. He stated that, “This strong partnership also provides a solid foundation for the new steps we will take together.”

Renault Group’s CEO François Provost emphasized the importance of this partnership for Renault Group with the following words:“Over 55 years ago, Renault and OYAK embarked on an industrial collaboration journey that continues to deliver outstanding results. The visit of OYAK’s CEO Murat Yalçıntaş strongly reminded us of our shared successes and the promising horizon ahead. Together, we have produced over 8 million vehicles, including more than 5 million of the iconic Clio model. Now, with the Clio 6, we are entering a new era. At the Oyak Horse facility, we have produced over 7.5 million engines and 6 million gearboxes. Türkiye has firmly established itself as Renault Group’s third largest market globally. This enduring alliance is a testament to our shared commitment to trust, common goals, and the people who make it a reality.”

Yalçıntaş stated that they will begin production of new models at their factories in Bursa in 2026. He mentioned that alongside the new Renault Duster, which started production in 2024, the Renault Boreal and the 6th generation of the Renault Clio will also be added. Emphasizing the great importance of producing the new generation of the Renault Duster a model that has been very popular and well loved worldwide for many years in Bursa for the Turkish automotive industry and local consumers, Yalçıntaş continued:“The Renault Boreal, which will begin production in 2026, will be exported to more than 50 countries. The decision to produce Renault Boreal in Türkiye demonstrates that Renault Group is placing Türkiye at the center of its strategy aimed at strengthening its presence in the high value added C and D segments. The 6th generation of the Renault Clio, which has reached over 16 million users worldwide and more than 600,000 in Türkiye since its launch in 1990, will also be produced at the Oyak Renault Automobile Factories. Additionally, our new generation hybrid engines, to be used in the Clio and other models, will be manufactured at our Oyak Horse factory, representing significant strategic value for our country.”

During the visit, Yalçıntaş also met with Ivan Segal, Senior Vice President (SVP) of Sales and Operations at Renault, to discuss strategic steps aimed at sustaining operations in Türkiye and strengthening market leadership. The visit highlighted the successful strategic partnership between OYAK and Renault Group in production and sales, emphasizing that this success is built on mutual trust and strategic alignment.
