Murat Ateş became Deputy General Manager of Operations at Acarlar Vagon

Murat Ateş, with 22 years of experience in the railway vehicles and construction machinery sector, has started his duty as Deputy General Manager of Operations at Acarlar Vagon, a company operating in the railway sector.

Born in Sinop in 1979, Murat Ateş graduated from Karabük Anatolian High School in 1997 and from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Gaziantep University in 2003. He began his professional career in 2004 at Kardemir A.Ş. as a Maintenance Engineer in the Transportation Directorate. As of 2011, he assumed the role of Chief Maintenance Engineer, a position he held for 15 years until 2026.

Acarlar Vagon, as a well-established industrial company with more than 60 years of manufacturing experience in the railway sector, carries out the repair, maintenance, and overhaul of freight wagons, passenger cars, metro vehicles, and locomotives, and also manufactures railway wheelsets. Operating on a total area of 40,000 square meters 30,000 square meters open and 10,000 square meters covered in Dinar, Afyonkarahisar, the company serves primarily TCDD and TÜRASAŞ, as well as all public institutions and private sector rolling stock manufacturers and operators, through its extensive service network with approximately 150 employees.

With his sectoral experience in improving operational processes, enhancing organizational competence, integrating capabilities to serve different industries, and enterprise resource management, Murat Ateş is expected to make significant contributions to Acarlar Vagon.
