In a post on his social media account, Şimşek evaluated the provision of 1.55 billion euros of external financing for the Dörtyol-Hassa Highway and Railway Project.
Emphasizing that they provided financial support for this project, which will increase the competitiveness of the Southeastern Anatolia Region, Şimşek said:
"By strengthening the transportation infrastructure, we secured 1.55 billion euros of external financing for the Dörtyol-Hassa Highway and Railway Project, which will support trade, tourism, and regional development. Thus, in 2025, the total external financing provided to the railway sector reached approximately 4.2 billion euros. We are strengthening the port and railway connections of regional industries, thereby increasing the access of production and logistics centers to global markets."
