The import of products from China under category 72 by Mexico experienced a significant surge in 2022, reaching a total value of 1.2 billion USD, representing a strong increase of 331% compared to 2019.
Similarly, in the first seven months of 2023, the import of these products has approached approximately 960 million USD. Therefore, it is expected that Mexico's purchases of steel products from China will exceed 1 billion USD for the second consecutive year.
