Mercedes-Benz opens logistics centre in Gebze with 210 million TL

With the opening of Mercedes-Benz Otomotiv's new logistics centre in Gebze, Türkiye became the third country in the world to use the high-tech warehouse management system specially developed for Mercedes-Benz.

According to a statement released by Mercedes-Benz Otomotiv, the company inaugurated its parts logistics centre in Gebze, where it will supply parts to agencies all over Türkiye.

Thanks to Mercedes-Benz Otomotiv's new logistics centre, which will generate its own electricity, Türkiye has become the third country in the world to start using the high-tech warehouse management system specially developed for Mercedes-Benz.

In his speech at the opening ceremony of the centre, Şükrü Bekdikhan, Chairman of the Executive Board of Mercedes-Benz Otomotiv, said: ‘We aim to minimise environmental impact by adopting pioneering practices in areas such as energy efficiency, waste management and carbon footprint reduction with our facility, which we can expand up to 22 thousand square meters in line with our needs. With our new logistics centre, which we established with an investment of 210 million TL, we provide additional employment for 100 people.
