Libyan Iron and Steel Company signed an agreement with German SMS group

The agreement was signed on behalf of LISCO by Dr. Mohamed Abdelmalik Al-Faqih, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and on behalf of SMS group by Alberto Berganti, Regional Director for the Mediterranean and Africa.

During the three-day visit, the SMS group delegation met with company officials and toured various production facilities of LISCO. The agreement reached after the negotiations is expected to make significant contributions to the production processes of the Libyan Iron and Steel Company and increase its competitiveness.

The German SMS group, one of the world's leading companies in the field of steel production equipment and plant construction, is known to have played a critical role in the construction of LISCO's factories in the past. Today, SMS Group, which carries out similar partnerships in many countries, maintains its strong position in the sector.

In the statement, it was emphasized that thanks to this new cooperation, LISCO will have a more modern and efficient production structure, which will contribute to Libya's industrial infrastructure.
