Leading industrial and iron and steel companies in Türkiye were granted the status of “Foreign Trade Capital Company”

The Ministry of Commerce has taken an important step within the framework of Türkiye’s export-oriented growth strategy by granting “Foreign Trade Capital Company” status to leading industrial and production companies in the country.

Leading industrial and iron and steel companies in Türkiye were granted the status of “Foreign Trade Capital Company”

With the decision published in the April issue of the Official Gazette, companies will be granted broader authority in their export processes and will enhance their competitiveness in international markets. The status was granted within the framework of the Export Regime based on the Council of Ministers’ Decision dated December 22, 1995. The new regulation entered into force as of its publication date, and the authority for its implementation was assigned to the Minister of Trade. The communiqué also abolished the previous decisions issued in 2025.

Among the companies in the iron and steel sector granted this status are Ereğli Demir ve Çelik Fabrikaları, İskenderun Demir ve Çelik, İzmir Demir Çelik, and Kocaer Çelik.

Other industrial and manufacturing companies include Arçelik, Aselsan, Akçansa, Anadolu Isuzu, Balsu Gıda, Borusan Boru, Brisa, Çimsa, Ford Otosan, Jantsa, Otokar, Pergamon Status Dış Ticaret, Petkim, Sarkuysan, Sasa Dış Ticaret A.Ş., Tofaş, Türk Traktör, and Tüpraş.

The Ministry of Trade stated that with this regulation, Türkiye has shifted to a higher gear in exports, enabling companies to become more effective in international markets and contributing significantly to the country’s export-led growth strategy.
