JSIS introduces the use of steel slag in road construction

Offering a more sustainable option compared to natural stone aggregates, steel slag reduces water consumption and lowers carbon emissions. This method, which has been tested and approved in countries such as Germany, Japan and the United States, ensures more efficient use of resources and makes economic contributions to infrastructure projects.

Speaking at the event, Sheikh Mohammed bin Sulaiman al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah, emphasized that environmental sustainability is one of Oman's priority goals. Stating that steel slag can contribute to this process, Al Kindi emphasized the need to take more environmentally friendly steps in the industrial sector with innovative solutions. JSIS CEO Harssha Shetty emphasized the importance of reducing the ecological impact of the construction industry and stated that the company pioneered the use of sustainable materials.

Prakash Chaudhari, JSIS Chief Operating Officer, emphasized the environmental advantages of steel slag, stating that this material both protects the environment and offers a quality infrastructure material. The company announced that it will continue to contribute to Oman's environmental and economic development goals, aiming to be a pioneer in sustainable production and resource management.
