Shadi Majali, Chairman of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), announced that he met with a South Korean investment delegation to explore opportunities for establishing a steel pipe manufacturing facility in the region. The project aims to boost industrial development and attract high-quality investments to Aqaba.
During the meeting, the Korean delegation visited the Aqaba Development Corporation and inspected a 112-dunum plot of land allocated for the project before completing technical and economic feasibility studies.
Majali presented ASEZA’s investment opportunities and incentives to the delegation, highlighting the region’s strategic location, free trade agreements, and advanced infrastructure and logistics capabilities. He emphasized that Aqaba’s strategic plan seeks to transform the city into “a fully integrated industrial and logistics hub,” in line with ASEZA’s directives to attract targeted investments and create new employment opportunities for the local community.
ASEZA is the official authority established to promote investment, industry, and trade in Jordan’s Aqaba city, offering a wide range of incentives to investors. The meeting, held as part of the ongoing economic and diplomatic cooperation between ASEZA and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Jordan, also aims to promote Aqaba in South Korea as a leading destination for industrial, commercial, and tourism investments.
