The country's crude steel production decreased by 1.7% in September compared to the same month last year.
Production of hot rolled steel products decreased by 0.2% monthly and increased by 1.3% annually, reaching 6 million 327 thousand tons. Pig iron production decreased by 5.5% on a monthly basis and increased by 0.5% on an annual basis, reaching a total of 5 million 84.1 thousand tons.
Electric arc furnace plant production increased by 14.5% on a monthly basis and decreased by 6.2% on an annual basis, reaching a total of 1 million 876.9 thousand tons.
