İsdemir’in, İskenderun kalker maden ocağı projesi iptal edildi

Çevresel Etki Değerlendirmesi (ÇED) İzin ve Denetim Genel Müdürlüğü, İskenderun Demir ve Çelik A.Ş. (İsdemir) tarafından planlanan kalker maden ocağı projesi hakkında kamuoyunu bilgilendirdi.

İsdemir’in, İskenderun kalker maden ocağı projesi iptal edildi

ÇED tarafından 23 Ağustos 2024 tarihinde resmi internet sitesinde yayımlanan bildirime göre, İsdemir’in uzun süredir üzerinde çalıştığı ve çevresel etkileri konusunda çeşitli tartışmalara yol açan kalker maden ocağı projesinin iptal edildiği duyuruldu. Konuya dair yapılan açıklama şu şekilde oldu:

“HATAY ili İSKENDERUN, ilcesi Akarca Mahallesi Mevkii sınırları içerisinde, İSKENDERUN DEMİR VE ÇELİK A.Ş. tarafından yapılması planlanan S:89391 (ER: 3400094) Ruhsat Numaralı II(a) Grubu Kalker Maden Ocağı projesi iptal edilmiştir.”
