İskenderun Demir ve Çelik A.Ş. (İsdemir) plans to increase the capacity of the existing power plant. The Hatay-based iron and steel company is planning the said capacity increase for its power plant in Yumurtalık district of Adana. The official statement for the project investment was made by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. Details on the subject are that the company's Environmental Impact Assessment (ÇED) application file is still in the process of being reviewed and the ÇED process for the project has started.

Although the investment cost of the Sugözü power plant-auxiliary source solar power plant (GES) capacity increase and auxiliary source wind power plant (GES) project is known as 870 million TL, the capacity of the solar power plant (GES) will reach from 21 MWm to 42 MWm. is targeted. The investment will include 38,540 solar panels and two wind turbines.
