Indonesian manufacturer Yong Wang suspends production

This week, Indonesian Yong Wang announced the suspension of its production, with operations halting on June 11. The production line is expected to resume at the end of August or early September, following an approximate 80-day shutdown.

Although the exact date for resumption is not yet decided, it is projected to take at least two months for preparations. The cold-rolled mill, which has an annual capacity of 700,000 tons, primarily manufactures 300 series products. While some industry experts suggest that the suspension is due to anti-dumping measures imposed on Indonesian stainless steel by several countries, others believe the plant is reconfiguring its steelmaking and steel rolling production lines.
