North Europe's daily hot rolled coil index was recorded at €686.50 per tonne, up only €0.50 per tonne from the previous day. The index was up €9.00 per ton on a weekly basis and €33.83 per ton on a monthly basis.
Offers from local producers for coil for February delivery ranged between €700-720 per ton ex-works. However, some mills reportedly refused to accept offers below €700 per ton as they were fully loaded until March.
The sources reported that buyers were negotiating in the range of €680-700 per ton ex-works. However, German mills still have limited HRC sales at €690-695 per ton ex-works, they added.
The daily hot rolled coil index was reported by sources at €672.29 per ton on December 12, up €3.96 per ton from €668.33 per ton on December 12. The index is up by €7.29 per ton on a weekly basis and €42.29 per ton on a monthly basis.
Local suppliers' offers for HRC for February delivery were reported at around €720 per tonne (around €705 per tonne ex-works), while buyers' price estimates were estimated between €660-680 per tonne ex-works.
