House sales in Türkiye increased by 14.3% in 2025

Housing sales increased by 14.3% as yearly in Türkiye in 2025 to 1 million 688 thousand 910.

House sales in Türkiye increased by 14.3% in 2025

Housing sales across Türkiye continued their upward trend in 2025. According to housing sales statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the total number of homes sold nationwide increased by 14.3% as yearly in 2025 to 1,688,910 units.

December data also highlighted the strong momentum in the housing market. In December 2025, nationwide home sales increased by 19.8% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 254,777 units. Overall, housing sales recorded a marked annual increase over the January–December 2025 period.

On a provincial basis, Istanbul accounted for the largest share of home sales in 2025 with 280,262 units sold, followed by Ankara with 152,534 sales and Izmir with 96,998 sales. The provinces with the lowest number of home sales were Ardahan with 727 units, Bayburt with 1,251 units, and Hakkari with 1,559 units.
