Hoa Phat Group, Vietnam's largest steel producer, reported that total steel sales, including construction steel, hot-rolled coil and billet, reached 558,000 tons in December 2022, an increase of 25.9% compared to the previous month.
Among them, sales of construction steel increased by 42% to 358,000 tons, while sales of hot-rolled coils decelerated by 20% to 144,000 tons.
In the whole of 2022, Hoa Phat's steel sales amounted to 7.2 million tons, a decrease of 7% year-on-year.
The group's crude steel production is expected to exceed 14 million tons by 2025.
