Hoa Phat's crude steel output increased in March

According to a news published by Vietnam's Hoa Phat Group in March, crude steel production amounted to 440,000 tons, up 6 percent m-o-m. Meanwhile, sales of steel billets, rebar and hot rolled coil (HRC) were 500,000 tons, up 5% m-o-m.

Among them, Hoa Phat Group supplied 282,000 tons of rebar and high quality wire rod to both domestic and foreign markets. The amount remained stable compared to February, but decreased 45% compared to last March. The decrease was due to low demand in the local and export market. Also, Vietnam's real estate sector has yet to recover.
