The price assessment for local steel wire rod (ductile grade) delivered in Poland was at PLN 2,750-2,800 ($675-687) per tonne on Friday, unchanged since July 7.
Local steel mills' official offers for low-carbon, tensile-grade wire rod were reported at CPT 2,800-2,900 zloty per tonne, unchanged since late July, but the upper end of this range was considered unworkable by most buyers.
Buyers said the tradeable value was closer to 2,750-2,760 zlotys per tonne CPT.
However, trading in the week to Friday remained limited, with buyers tending to reserve only small lots to meet their immediate needs.
