Price trends remained unchanged for several weeks. The cost of hot-rolled steel is basically stagnating, although there are more reports of a rise in the price of this product than reports of a decline.
The current situation in the Russian market of steel products is still positively assessed by the majority of experts. Some companies, however, reported a reduction in sales across all product groups in mid-August, but they all expect a strong recovery this week.
The price of steel billets in the Russian Federation - 43,601 R/t (growth by 1.6%), for hot-rolled coil 50,798 R/t (decrease -4.1%), for cold-rolled coil 66,560 R/t (decrease -0.7 %), for rebar 46,286 r/t (0.3% growth).
