Comparatively to the previous week, deals for containerized HMS 1&2 (80:20) scrap of US origin were made at $370/t CFR Taiwan. The reported price for unconfirmed contracts is $373–375/t CFR. Given the limited supply, prices are predicted to increase.
Japanese H1/H2 scrap bulk offers decreased by $5/t to $380/t CFR w/o/w as suppliers were unable to find support in the alternative markets. Last week, a workable level for the same origin and grade was about $380/t CFR.
