Iron ore exports from Western Australia's Pilbara region reached a hightest level in three months in the week ending March 18.
Deliveries from Rio Tinto, BHP, Fortescue and Roy Hill totalled 18.76 million metric tons (dwt) for the week ending March 11.
Fortescue Metal's deliveries were 7% less than usual due to weather conditions, with shipping increasing to 3.52 million metric tons (dwt) for the week ending March 18.
BHP's deliveries amounted to 5.73 million metric tons (dwt). The company reported that there may be interruptions in its deliveries in January-June due to maintenance of rail and port infrastructure.
Roy Hill's shipments increased from 1.17 million metric tons (dwt) to 1.64 million metric tons (dwt). The company's deliveries were 31% higher than average.
Rio Tinto's deliveries amounted to 7.87 million metric tons (dwt). Deliveries reached its highest level since mid-December.
