Speaking to SteelRadar in the Northern Europe region, sources reported that offers for HRC averaged €730-760 per ton EXW. The weekly downward trend in HRC is expected to turn positive in the coming periods.
Poland
In Poland, rebar prices continued to trade at €665 in February, down from €635 at the end of January. Wire rod in Poland was reported to have decreased in February compared to January. Wire rod, which traded between €693-715 in January, experienced a local decline during February and traded at €705.
Rebar [12-32 mm] is expected to hold the €665 level for a while, as it has been stable to steadily increasing, according to SteelRadar's data.
Italy
In Italy, HRC prices traded in the range of €735-750 in January before reaching €745 in February and remained stable on February 15.
Rebar, which experienced a notable price drop, fell by €10 from €615 to €605 in the week to February 12 and remained stable throughout the week.
In Italy, steel plate [14-40] fell from €780 to €775, while wire rod [A510] was traded €5 higher at €665 to €670.
Spain
According to SteelRadar, rebar was the product that started the week of February 12 in Spain unable to maintain its stable trend.
Rebar [12-32 mm] prices in Spain were remarkably unchanged at €33, while HRC and CRC prices maintained their weekly trend.
Germany
E40 scrap in Germany started the week of February 12 €8 higher at €368, while rebar was down €7 from €665 to €658.
Another €8 increase was recorded by SteelRadar for 14-40mm steel plate at €718 in Germany.
The only other steady increase during the week was recorded for iron ore. After ending the week of February 9 with a downward trend, iron ore started the week of February 12 with an increase and its current price was recorded at €120.32 on February 14.
United Kingdom
Last week, wire mesh prices in the UK fluctuated between USD 606.50 and USD 610.
According to SteelRadar data, UK wire mesh prices traded at 606.50 USD on February 9, down 1.07%.
On February 14, wire mesh prices were recorded at 608.50 USD, while the outlook for the coming weeks remains uncertain.

Netherlands
SteelRadar recorded an increase of €4 for HMS 1/2 (80:20) this week to €393 after a downtrend last week.
HMS 1/2 (80:20), which started the week of February 12 at €393, maintained its stable trend throughout the week and continued to trade at the same price.
