In key production hubs such as Istanbul, Izmir, Karabük, and Payas, prices fluctuated on a daily basis, while during the same period, dollar-based offers from major producers also showed variations. Spot rebar prices fell by 2–7 USD in Izmir, Karabük, and Payas, whereas the 2-dollar increase seen in Istanbul due to supply shortages in the first week of the month later flattened out as demand remained weak.
Türkiye’s rebar exporters offered prices in the range of 565–575 USD for sales deliverable at the end of December or in January, while domestic producer rebar prices were reported between 567–600 USD. Their TL equivalents hovered around 28,900–30,600 TL. While İDÇ, Kroman, and Çolakoğlu followed a stable to upward trend, slight decreases were recorded in the offers of players such as Tosyalı and Ekinciler during this period.
Kardemir Karabük, meanwhile, increased its rebar prices by 18 USD on November 26 to 576 USD, and raised its billet prices by 10 USD on November 27 to 515–525 USD. At these price levels, it sold approximately 50,000 tons of billet and 35,000 tons of rebar, closing the sales. The company continues to sell wire rod at 590 USD, which was announced at a 10-dollar increase on December 3.
