The construction of the furnace, which has a production capacity of approximately 850 thousand tonnes of low carbon steel, will start in 2024 and is planned to be commissioned in 2027.
The company plans to invest approximately EUR 450 million in the project and create 2,800 jobs in Donawice.
The Italian company Danieli, which uses digital technology in production, will be responsible for the design, production and commissioning of the new furnace.
