Vladimir Putin approved non-cash payment for scrap

The draft law provided for a mandatory transition from July 1, 2024. In the period before this date, the authorities established a transitional period during which acceptors could only accept non-ferrous metals in cash up to 120,000 rubles, and ferrous metals - up to 10,000 rubles. The government could make adjustments to the established amounts.

However, in the process of finalizing the draft, the State Duma ruled out these norms and coordinated the document with the Federation Council. Now, starting from October 1 of this year, payment for scrap and waste of non-ferrous or ferrous metals will be carried out only by bank transfer.
