The factory had announced on February 16 that the April shipment price for the uncoated SAE 1006/SS400 HRC was equivalent to $694/ton cif Vietnam. This was about $60/ton higher than last month.
Formosa's monthly HRC sales are usually around 300,000-350,000tons. A factory manager in Hanoi estimates that in the last round, the manufacturer sold 160,000 tons domestically and 170,000 tons in export Sundays.
It is heard that the offers for Chinese SAE1006 2mm and above thickness HRC are currently at the level of 680-685$/ton cfr Vietnam. A trader said there is a 3,000-ton Magang SAE1006 HRC offer for the April shipment. Trade sources state that 2 mm thick SAE1006 HRC from China for April shipment was recently ordered from Vietnam at $673/ton cfr.
The imported SAE class 2-2.7mm thick HRC was valued at $675/ton cfr Vietnam, an increase of $7.5 per week.
China SS400/Q195 HRC is currently being offered from Vietnam at $650/ton cfr for material with a thickness of 3 mm and above. It is heard that SS400 quality hot sheet position cargoes are offered from $640/ton cfr. China Q355 quality hot sheet is offered from $668/ton cfr and from $660/tcf for checkered hot sheet.
