Japanese company Toyota Motor Corp. reported that its global production in August 2023 increased by 4% year-on-year and was approximately 800,000 vehicles.
Sales increased by 9% on an annual basis and were recorded as 853,000 vehicles.
Among these sales, sales in Japan were up 45% year-on-year and sales in South Korea were up 63% year-on-year. Toyota stated that it plans to produce 150,000, 190,000 and 600,000 electric vehicles in 2023, 2024 and 2025, respectively.
