Brazilian mining company Vale will continue to increase its high quality sinter production despite challenging market conditions. By 2026, Vale plans to produce 50-55 million tons per year and around 100 million tons after 2030. Vale had produced 32 million tons in 2022.
However, Vale warned that the current rate of depletion of deposit reserves will require the commissioning of new capacities to extract around 400 million tons of ore per year by 2030. Only such a volume will replace the mines, whose reserves will be depleted, and which are currently in operation.
According to Vale Representatives, the company's plans should not be prevented even by the changes in supply chains in recent years and the tightening of labor and environmental laws in different countries of the world.
