US wire rod imports increased in April

In April 2023, US wire rod imports totaled about 62,200 tons, increasing by 12% compared to March and decreasing by 61.4% compared to April 2022.

Imports from Canada ranked first

Imports from Canada totaled about 28,900 tons, from Brazil about 9,300 tons, from Japan about 9,200 tons and from Malaysia about 4,600 tons.

Import value decreased by 10.9% m/m

In this period, the value of imports increased by 10.9% on a monthly basis and decreased by 57.7% on an annual basis to approximately USD 65 million.
