It was reported that the domestic crude steel production in the USA was 1 million 595 thousand net tons in the week ending January 7 and the capacity utilization rate was 71.3%.
As of the same week last year, the production was 1 million 735 thousand tons and the capacity utilization rate was 79.8%. The latest week's production shows a decrease of 8.1% compared to a year ago.
The production of the week ending January 7 decreased by 0.4% compared to the previous week, when the capacity utilization rate was 71.8% and production was 1 million 602 thousand tons.
