According to the US Department of Commerce, US monthly steel imports in June 2023 were 2,533,474 tonnes, up 20.2% from May. In value terms, US steel imports totalled $3.23 billion in June, compared with $3.07 billion in May and $4.05 billion in June 2022.
The main sources of US steel imports in June were: Canada with 570,073 tonnes, Brazil with 379,965 tonnes, Mexico with 378,392 tonnes, South Korea with 339,921 tonnes and China with 103,654 tonnes.
