In February this year, U.S. steel imports amounted to 2.25 million tons, decreased by 13.5% from the previous month, and between January and February, steel imports decreased by 9.8% y-o-y to 4.86 million tons.
U.S. final product volume decreased by 14.3% m-o-m to 1.71 million tons, while imports of final steel products decreased by 9.7% y-o-y to 3.72 million tons.
Imports to Canada amounted to 1.13 million tons, imports to Mexico amounted to 838 thousand tons, and imports to South Korea amounted to 364 thousand tons.
