US line pipe imports rise in August

In August this year, US imports of line pipe increased by 14% on a monthly basis and 19% on a yearly basis to around 68,000 tons.

Imports from South Korea were about 36,000 tons, Mexico about 6,900 tons, Canada about 4,700 tons and the UK about 4,670 tons.

The value of imports during this period was approximately US$ 101 million.
