According to data from the USA domestic crude steel production was 1 million 620 thousand net tons for the week ending January 21, with a capacity utilization rate of 72.5%.
As of the same week of last year, the production was 1 million 735 thousand tons and the capacity utilization rate was 79.8%. Production in the last week
shows a 6.6% decrease from a year ago.
Production for the week ending January 21 increased by 1.1% compared to the previous week, when the capacity utilization rate was 71.7% and production was 1 million 602 thousand tons.
As of the week ending on January 21, annual total production decreased by 7.5% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 4 million 817 thousand tons. Capacity utilization
rate also decreased from 79.8% to 71.8%.
