According to the final data released by the US Department of Commerce, imports of steel rebars into this country in February 2024 amounted to 103,281 tons, an increase of 155.3% from the previous month, but a decrease of 17.8% compared to February 2023 . The value of February imports was at $61.9 million versus $26.8 million a month earlier and $89.9 million a year earlier.
The main suppliers of steel rebar in the United States in February of this year were Algeria - 32,854 tons, Egypt - 26,568 tons, Mexico - 13,873 tons, Canada - 8,634 tons and Portugal - 6,253 tons.
