The US exported around 37,400 tons of hot-rolled steel bars in July this year, decreasing by 17% compared to the previous month.
The exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, with roughly 20,600 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 14.3% and a year-on-year hike of 21.1%. Canada ranked second with roughly 15,300 tons, and the exports to other countries were less than 1,000 tons.
During the period, the export value totaled roughly US$64 million, down by 17% month on month and up by 21.8% year on year.
