According to AISI statistics, US crude steel production increased by 1.2% from the previous week but decreased by 4.6% compared to the same period last year, reaching 1.674 million short tons.
As of the week ended February 25, US year-to-date adjusted crude steel production fell 6.1% y-o-y to 13.1 million short tons. The utilization rate of capacity decreased by 7.1% from the previous year to 73.2%.
