US steel production, ending on December the 31st, amounted to 1.6 million net tonnage with a decrease of 0.7% week on week and 9.4% year on year.
During this period, the capacity utilization rate decreased by 0.5% weekly and 8.3% annually.
As of December 17, 2022, US year-to-date finished crude steel production was approxiomately 89.06 million net tonnage with a decrease of 5.8% year on year. On the other hand, the capaticy utilization rate decreased by 3.5% and amounted to 77.7% compared to the previous year.
