According to the data released, the United States exported 174,400 tons of aluminum scrap in March, increased by 11% month on month. Despite the monthly increase, it was noted that the US aluminum scrap exports decreased by 2% on an annual basis.
Exports to Malaysia ranked first
While it is seen that most of the exports were made to Malaysia with an increase of 23% month on month, approximately 38,100 tons, the data showed that aluminum scrap exports to Malaysia increased by 28% on an annual basis.
India was the country that followed Malaysia in the US's aluminum scrap exports. Despite the 17% increase on a monthly basis in exports of approximately 36,400 tons to India, it was observed that there was a 9% decrease on an annual basis.
