Ukrainian Kamet Steel, a part of Metinvest Group, has restarted blast furnace production. Previously, the company had to suspend production due to power supply restrictions due to heavy Russian bombardment.
During the downtime, Kamet Steel was working on the evaluation of equipment repairs and restarts. In the official statement made by Metinvest, it was stated that Kamet Steel has re-commissioned the blast furnace No. 2 and the continuous casting machine No. 3 and plans to continue its activities provided that there is sufficient power supply.
