In the latest statement from the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), it was reported that a ship was targeted with a missile west of the city of Mocha in Yemen and a fire broke out on the ship.

Today's statement from United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) brings to light an incident in international waters in the Red Sea. According to the statement, a ship 23 nautical miles west of the Yemeni city of Mocha was shot at with a missile and caught fire. However, according to the statement, the crew managed to extinguish the fire and the ship headed for the nearest port. All crew members were reported safe.


It was noted that an investigation has been launched into who fired the missile and from where, but no information was given about the name of the ship or the country it belonged to.
