UAE steel company Emirates Steel announces rebar prices for August

Emirates Steel Arkan Group announced that it has fixed its rebar prices for its authorized distributors in the UAE at 2,516 dirhams (TL 12,290) per ton for August compared to July. This price does not include any discounts on a quantity basis, surcharges for sizes or product quality, or any other costs applied to the product price, such as the cost of additional raw materials.

According to sources working in the building materials trade, rebar prices saw a sharp drop in June, reaching Dh2,530 per tonne, down 16.6 percent from May prices of Dh2,950 per tonne.

Rebar prices in the UAE fell 8% in May to Dh2,950 per tonne after jumping to a range of Dhs 3,200 to Dh 3,300 per tonne in March and April this year amid the geopolitical crisis between Russia and Ukraine.

Emirates Arkan Steel supplies 65% of the local market's needs for rebar, iron wire coils, heavy structural sections and pivot panels. At the same time, the company continues to develop its export markets, which currently cover 56 countries, an increase of 50% compared to 2019.
