According to data compiled by SteelRadar from TÜİK, scrap imports in March decreased by 2.3% year-on-year to 1,621,870 tons. In March 2025, imports were recorded at 1,660,102 tons. Compared to February, March imports increased by 15.8%.
In the January–March period, total scrap imports reached 4,727,698 tons, marking a 0.63% increase compared to the same period of 2025.
On a country basis, the highest scrap imports in March were from the United States. Imports from the U.S. decreased by 40.51% year-on-year to 245,306 tons. Imports from the United Kingdom, which ranked second, increased by 37.11% to 199,905 tons. Imports from Denmark rose by 75.32% to 185,676 tons.
