Based on data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), SteelRadar recorded a 32.9% decrease in rebar exports in January 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year. With this decline, January was the month with the lowest export figure in the last one year.
While 399,844 tons of rebar were exported in January last year, this figure dropped to 268,034 tons in the same period this year. The 32.9% decrease shows the impact of challenging conditions in the sector and global economic factors.
December was down 23.8% compared to the previous month. In 2023 December, this figure was 351,873 tons.
