Türkiye's pig iron imports decreased by 9% in January-October period

According to data collected by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Türkiye's pig iron imports in October 2024 decreased by 27.5% y-o-y to 97,560 tons from 134,609 tons in the same month of the previous year.

This figure increased by 35.1% compared to the previous month of September.

Total pig iron imports in the January-October period decreased by 9% y-o-y from 1,152,269 tons to 1,48,860 tons.

In October, Russia ranked first with 73,573 tons of pig iron imports, followed by Kazakhstan with 33,181 tons and Ukraine with 2,458 tons.
