Türkiye's iron ore imports increased by 37.9% in the January-March period

Türkiye's iron ore imports in March 2024 increased by 33% annually and decreased by 16.7% monthly.

According to the information compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data, Türkiye's iron ore imports in March increased by 33% compared to the same month of the previous year, rising from 643,055 tons to 856,230 tons. It decreased by 16.7% compared to the previous month, February.

Total iron ore imports in the January-March period increased by 37.9%, rising from 1 million 837 thousand 613 tons to 2 million 533 thousand 518 tons.

While Türkiye imported the most iron ore in the month in question from Brazil with 531,124.7 tons, Brazil was followed by Ukraine with 229,425.2 tons, Uzbekistan with 70,776.6 tons, Russia with 24,742.2 tons and Bulgaria with 160.1 tons.
